Have no doubts. Protecting your financial information is absolutely critical to us.
Will I need to type my bank account passwords into Quicken Online?
Yes. To access your bank or credit card accounts, we ask you to enter the same information that you use to sign into your accounts at your financial institutions. Your sign-in information is encrypted and stored on our firewall-protected servers.
In turn, the transactions that we download for you are transmitted using secure socket layer technology and are encrypted, so they are unreadable during transmission. They are also stored on our secure servers.
Quicken Online is a VeriSign Secured™ product. For more information, click the VeriSign seal at the bottom of every Quicken Online page.
Do you do anything with my data?
Yes. We collect all our customers' data to analyze it in aggregate, but none of this analysis is connected with you personally anywhere outside of your Quicken Online account.
We use this anonymous, aggregate information to help improve our services to you. For example, we collect or review information such as how many customers are downloading information, or what data is most commonly entered. This information also helps us give you better technical support. In addition, Quicken Online uses its server logs to gather usage information. This allows us to better understand product performance, activity, and utilization. The information is used in the aggregate to improve the product. We also evaluate individual log files to diagnose problems with the product and to improve its performance.
